My thoughts...

Now, I’m not embarrassed to say that I have re-read the born
in blood mafia chronicles series more
times than I can remember but now, I feel history is repeating itself with the
Camorra chronicles- those re reading obsessions are here! Ugh every time a new book from
Reilly is released, man it does not disappoint! Nino and Keira’s story are the
epitome of swoony, seductive, hot, dangerous all at the same time! God, how does
she make these swoony heroes?! The arrange marriage, and the mafia tropes are
my favourites and having an author that writes both of them in the same book -
HEAVEN!

Nino, I must say, I had my doubts, whether you will live up
to your competitors – Lucca, Fabiano, Matteo , Dante the list goes on, but boy
did you wipe that doubt out in seconds! Handsome? Check. Dangerous? Check. Hot
and sexy? Check. Broody and intimidating? Double check. Although all the heroes in the series live on
the principle of not giving in to emotions – Nino lives by this to a tea- every
emotion he blocks out, as he believes it will only make him weak and vulnerable
– something he has learnt from his painful past. Now this trait has become him,
until Keira walks in and everything slowly changes…

Keira is what you call a beautiful, innocent heroine who is
a beacon of light in all of Nino’s darkness. Her marriage to Nino, is solely on the basis
of a truce and a business arrangement and trust me, Nino has no trouble making it
feel like one. Her troubling past haunts her and Nino slowly becomes her
comfort unknowingly, and he becomes stuck in a place of struggling to block out
emotions hence releasing his demons he tried to keep locked away for so long. His
coping mechanism is no longer working being around Keira as she yearns for personal
warmth that Nino is so reluctant to give.

Their story is complex, twisted, heart-breaking, frustrating
at times, hot at others and definitely captivating! I thoughroughly recommend
not just this AMAZEBALLS story, but the whole series including the born in blood
mafia chronicles series in order to get the full experience of these amazing
characters, constant gripping action and the dark , heart-breaking, hot and
seductive, love stories !

My thoughts

Sorry, I just need a moment to scream about the FRIGGIN
AMAZING kick start to the Camorra chronicles! (For those who don’t know this
book is set in the world of the Born in Blood Mafia chronicles series). You know
when you read a series and you start to lose interest as the fifth, sixth book
comes out and you’re wondering ‘WHY IS THE AUTHOR STILL WRIITING BOOKS AND
MESSING UP THE STORY!’ – Yeah, this is NOTHING like that! Where other authors
fall short of ideas and lose the lovability of the characters – Reilly’s books
just keep getting better and better, and hotter and hotter and darker and
darker and – I LOVE IT!

For those who are familiar with the Born in blood Mafia
chronicles series, this Fabiano’s Book, Aria’s little brother. But he is not so
little and adorable anymore *Wink*. As he has aged, his distance with his
sisters Aria, Gianna grew exponentially and he joined forces with rival - Remo.
So the title twisted loyalties is pretty fitting for this book as you will
realise throughout the book. Fabiano is the Camorra Enforcer, and yes it is
as dangerous and badass as it sounds if not worse. He is violent, dark,
mysterious, and dangerous and has immense loyalties to Remo as his superior
that is until Leona.

Leona has a difficult life. She is the newcomer in the area,
recently moved in with her gambling father and she is the embodiment of being
completely clueless of what she has got herself into, working in a place run by
the Camorra. Her brewing relationship with Fabiano starts off with each trying
to figure the other out, full of intrigue, attraction and curiosity. Until the
inevitable fireworks pulls them together and there was no going back. Their story
is full of heat, secrets action, heartbreak, difficult decisions – everything
one looks for in an amazing story.

What I love about Reilly’s books is her ability to create
the ultimate antihero – menacing, cocky, dark, unfazed and broody. She leaves
us hanging on every word, every emotion, every sentence that comes out from these
heroes’ making us draw even more to characters than in any other book. Her
ability to explore characters that are not even introduced to us fully yet , astounds
me every time. I mean, I haven’t even read Remo’s Book but I have a feeling
there is going to be a massive fight between who is the best book boyfriend – Fabiano,
Remo , Lucca Matteo ugh the list goes but it is so hard to choose and that is
the sign of a great author, a great series and a great romance creator! Ugh I love
it to bits! 5 stars from me!

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , serif;">All I can say is,
the Kiss thief by L J Shen needs a series! Arranged marriages/ marriage of convenience
is one of my top romantic troupes and it was executed so well in this book! It had
everything we look for in books, an asshole hero, a heroine who is sweet and
innocent but not a doormat and knows how to make the hero grovel that she has
him worshipping at her feet.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , serif;">Until The Kiss Thief
had been released, Trent and Edie (from Scandalous) were my favourite romantic
couple from all her books, but I now I can officially say that they have been
ditched to second place as Wolfe and Francesca have taken the mantle. There I said it. I love Wolfe
and Francesca more!

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , serif; line-height: 107%;">

<span style="background: white; color: #181818; font-family: "georgia" , serif;">This basically sums up his whole demeanour, literally and figuratively. He is full of pride does not accept defeat and does tolerate deceit never bowing down to anyone. Wolfe Keaton has left me utterly memorised. He is perfection.
*deep sigh*. Every sentence, every expression and every feeling he conveys
towards Francesca just makes my deep love for this character worse making me
swoon a little bit more. I tend not to enjoy love triangles because it leaves
me disappointed and sad for the one who doesn’t get the girl, but let’s be
honest here, Francesca was always destined for Keaton. I had absolutely no
remorse for Angelo – it is a typical example of actions speak louder than
words. Although Keaton’s words at first seem cruel, as the story progresses his
actions spoke volumes of how much he cares about Francesca. His jealousy is so cute– I don’t know if we can describe Wolfe as cute, - sorry I mean SO HOT, that
I found myself rereading back to these scenes, just because! Also let’s not
forget the grovelling - Francesca
definitely did an excellent job in making him suffer like she did, and who doesn’t
love a heroine who knows how to make the hero work for it<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: "georgia" , serif;">.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts...
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I have a confession... I am a sucker for MC, age gap and forbidden romances so I am already biased in this review but don't let that stop you from reading this book because every praise is well deserved - one thousand percent! After reading Welcome to the Dark side, I knew I had to get my hands on the next in the series!
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Harleigh Rose is a nearly qualified nurse who gets herself into a hot but serious mess after killing her boyfriend, Cricket under self defense. Instead of calling her father, the president of the Fallen MC , Zeus Garro, or any other members or family she calls Lionel Danner, a police officer who she had not spoken to in three years - and has always had a crush on. Although they both coexist, they live in completely different worlds but like fuel and fire they burn brighter when they are together.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Good Gone Bad is different to many books I have read where the hero usually is the damaged, jaded and sinful character and the heroine is the one to heal him; however Giana flips that idea on its head and where Danner is a mixture of good and bad and has laws and morals ingrained within him. However although he works for the law, he does not hesitate to cross to the darker side in order to protect who he loves. He understands Rosie, puts her safety first, but not without feeling the alpha protectiveness that we readers all crave.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">'cause you don't distract me with those pretty blues, I'm going to murder that piece of shit all over again for whatever he did...'
<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">' You think I don't know that under all that thorny sass, you got a heart as tender as a budded rose, you can think again'
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Rosie's character is contradictory to her name. she is anything but delicate and breakable. she is a spitfire, a rebel, a daddy's girl but vulnerable emotionally no matter how well she hides it. She embraces her family, is fearless, and feisty which is so refreshing from an avid reader's point of view where heroines may sometimes come across like a doormat - she is anything but passive but strong headed and knows what she wants.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Rosie and Danner together create insanely hot chemistry - Giana, I have come to learn is a master at balancing dirty and sweet, leaving us swooning in some parts and screaming in frustration in others. What I have come to realise is that a good romance author can flawlessly create the right amount of love, hate , attraction , jealousy , protectiveness and angst between the hero and the heroine. But a truly experienced expert romance author can evoke the reader to yearn for those qualities in a man in reality - Giana in her books expertly brings her characters to life - creating dimension, humanistic features that we recognise such as the ability to own mistakes, forgiveness, jealousy, hardship which is why we as readers relate to them the most.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">This book for me gave me vibes of books written by amazing MC Romance authors such as Madeline Sheehan, Bella Jewel, and Nichole Jacquelyn. So any fans of these authors, I DEFINITELY recommend this book, and if you have not read MC books or are looking for a new romance flavour, THIS IS YOUR BOOK!
It’s in the long, intense glances at the dinner table, the way we’ll brush up against each other in the halls, the rare glimpses of the man deep inside, like the sun passing through clouds.
But no matter how I feel about him, we can never be together.

You think it's bad enough being in love with your boss?
Try falling in love with a king.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts...
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Before I get into this review, I probably should admit that I have an obsession with the single dad/ young nanny trope, so it is no surprise that I jumped up and down when I got to review this book as an advanced reader! It is also no surprise when I say that I finished this book in one sitting! It was that good!
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Aurora, an experienced nanny, is looking for a new job, so when she gets an interview to nanny for a family in Copenhagen, she knew that she had to get this job. What she didn't expect however, is to be interviewing for a job of looking after the daughters of an aristocratic family . What she also doesn't expect, is living in the same very palace with their father - the widowed King Aksel. It is apparent from the very first meeting with the two adorable girls - Clara and Freja, that she is the perfect nanny for them, to help them move on from their mother's death and who also understands them. But it is also apparent that skills aside - Askel's disapproval does not go unnoticed. However, Aksel's weakness is his little girls - and what his girls want, is what they will get and they want Aurora.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Aksel is a complex character. From the beginning, he is driven by both guilt and anger after a terrible tragedy leaves him a widow and a single parent. He tries to avoid any danger of falling in love again and his attraction to Aurora is anything but good so he attempts to mask his attraction by being insulting, rude and quite frankly, an asshole.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Unfortunately for him, Aurora is a sassy, feisty heroine who fights to gain his trust in looking after his daughters but also, his heart. Her dedication to take care of whats important to the girls such as Snarf- Snarf, and him, is adorable ( probably one of my highlights of this book!) and her motherly nurturing nature is irresistible to Aksel and slowly, he finds himself falling head over heels.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I usually refrain from reading books that have royalty - purely because I find, in the efforts to make the royalty believable and to maintain royal etiquette - sometimes normal behaviors of attraction and dialogue is compromised - however, come through Karina Halle in this writing space and boy does she NAIL IT! She has opened up a new appreciation and now I am definitely going to read the other books with royalty for sure! Not only did she manage to flawlessly craft a king which doesn't just have power but owns it in every possible way, but also she manages to create our dream bad-ass, broody, King that we didn't know we craved! I mean... what's not to love?!
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I've loved Karina Halle books since Love in English and The Debt series but Nordic King has now pushed its way to number one for sure! There. I said it. It's my all time favourite! Halle cleverly crafts scenes to create a sexual tension tug of war between Aurora and Aksel - the Help and the King. The ultimate, scandalous, forbidden romance coming to life in our imaginations. She flawlessly manipulates the characters through her descriptive dialogue making us in tune to both Aksel's and Aurora's emotions simultaneously.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">“I am a king. And I belong to you in ways I never thought possible. More than I belong to my country, more than I belong to the people, I belong to you.”
<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Boy did I love this book, I cannot express enough how much Karina Halle has outdone herself with this one! I eagerly await to read every book that follows! If you are a fan of forbidden romance, with age gaps, single fathers, and broody, asshole heroes, then this is your book!
My thoughts

This book is begins with newly - turned, 19 yr old Jordan waiting for her boyfriend Cole Dawson on her birthday to celebrate. In order to kill time before his arrival, she decides to go to the Grand theater to watch Evil Dead. There, she meets Pike in the same screening. For the sake of purely keeping each other company on her birthday, they end up seating together, eating, laughing and having a good time but with the boundaries of their age differences keep them a safe distance apart. Until she calls her boyfriend does Pike realise there is more than one reason other than age for him to stay away. He is Pike Lawson, father of Jordan's Boyfriend - Cole Dawson. From that point, it is a battle to, quite frankly, overcoming the palpable, and very forbidden sexual tension between Pike and Jordan whilst they live under one roof, of course with the only person who connects them together - Cole.

What I love about books in the New Adult genre, and books like this one written by Penelope Douglas, is that it does not matter if the tropes are overused, the story-line does not need to be majorly complex in order to be a five star book. Just like you would see in your TV dramas, it is up to the actors or in this case, the characters to sell the book. This is by their emotions, the care in the descriptive language showing us readers the important details of their reactions to situations, there facial expressions are what makes them different to other romance characters. A good author can leave us hanging on every line delivered by the hero and heroine and Penelope Douglas does just that.

I personally love Pike's character. In Age Gap books, what is common is the older hero's insecurity of providing happiness to the younger heroine and how they deserve much more. This vulnerability is what draws me to these age gap books because their hero's possess a gentleness that is unique to this genre and is so attractive. His character contrasts starkly with Cole's immaturity that it makes him ten times more desirable. He is gentle, caring and attentive to Jordan's emotions and his attempts to try to stay away or to divert her, make us root for him even more - to the extent that I, as a reader find myself just waiting for Cole to trip up in order to allow the forbidden relationship to flourish.

Jordan is your feisty heroine. She is young, desirable but also mature for her age leaving us wondering how she ever stayed with Cole for three years. She is not like any other heroine character who chases Pike but she realises that it is forbidden and attempts to stay within societal boundaries, however the attraction is so strong that it was only a matter of time till one of them crumbles. She knows that she is attracted to Pike but as soon as things ended with Cole she does what pike wanted - to stay away. But her moving away is exactly what Pike couldn't resist. She is such a down to earth character as you will see towards the end of the book and looks for simple moments of happiness.The epilogue was so sweet and swoon worthy. loved this book whole heartedly!

I absolutely LOVED this Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas. She is an expert in spicing relationships between characters and manipulating her writing to keep us readers wanting more. Bring on the next one!
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">One word. Phenomenal. If this book were in a contest of Best Romantic comedy, it would get 1st, 2nd 3rd prize - hands down.<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"> Ever since reading The Design by R.S Grey I have been hooked on every book that Grey has brought out just waiting for the next dose of her comedy. You can expect that the humor and romance will be heightened - 10 fold!
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Ian Fletcher is your cool, Badass chemistry Teacher at Oak Hill High School that all the students look up to in awe. Not only the students but the fellow female teachers too, only in a different way.... However he has only eyes for one women, Samantha Loring, a journalism Teacher who happens to also be his best friend ever since they met at the teacher's orientation. Samantha Loring is no stranger to the attention she gets from the male teachers at Oak Hill however she seems to be clueless - which works to Ian's advantage as he tries to ward off any male who tries to approach her. From the very beginning it is obvious that this attraction is not one sided; the whole school - from rumors spread by students , to the teacher's lounge, everyone seems to think they are an item because of the endless time they spend together in and outside of school. This book is ultimately about the fragility of crossing the line from friends to lovers and the vulnerability of the characters who are afraid of losing one or another - from changing a relationship that is already so strong and precious to either destroying it completely or giving it a new meaning and purpose.
<span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">

<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">" The girls you date wax themselves from head to toe.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Grey's romantic comedy is unique as fingerprints and DNA, created flawlessly and effortlessly. She is able to create such amazing female leads who are funny, sexy, shy , bold, feisty all at the same time and male leads that are hot, arrogant, sweet, funny, handsome, irritating, confident to name a few. She builds connections, turns cliche into individuality and turns humorous to sexy with a flick of a page.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Not so Nice Guy just like every other book that Grey writes, is five stars from me. What I look for in the Rom-Com genre is that it needs to make me laugh out loud, smile like an idiot and make me swoon over the romance - this book does just that.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Synopsis...

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">As the bus approaches my stop on the Lower East Side, I raise the hood of my black sweatshirt. Anonymity is key in my neighborhood—particularly as a lone female walking at night.

All I want is to leave my crime-ridden shadow of a home in New York City. I’ve done everything I can to keep my head down and focus on my studies. College is my only goal; love has never been on the map…
That is, until my sister brings me to an underground fight, where I meet a gorgeous and mysterious man: Vincent.

He is the ghost in my shadows, showing up to feed me pieces of his upper-crust life, then evaporating into darkness until his next visit. I’m falling hard and fast. How can I trust him amidst the depth of his secrets?

Vincent may be even more dangerous than the dark world I’m trying to escape.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My thoughts
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

Wow can I just say after reading Sparrow by L J Shen ( which is one of my all time favourite books !) I have found myself driven towards books with an antihero where there is mystery, suspense and curiosity surrounding him so when reading the blurb to Rising I was so excited!

The book surrounds eighteen year old Eve who just wants to live in a better neighborhood which is not crime ridden where she wouldn't be faced with evil, despicable men like Carlos and not fear of getting raped or killed all the time. Enter Handsome, mysterious Vincent who she locks eyes with in an underground fight club and immediately she feels a strong attraction and desire that she has never felt towards any other man. But one thing she knows for certain - he is dangerous. The more she grows closer to Vincent the more he keeps her at arms length leading her to believe there is more to Vincent than he is leading on.

Vincent.Vincent.Vincent. Oh how to describe him. Honestly I feel more confused about this character when I finished the book than when I started. Jessica definitely was very clever in her written presentation of Vincent and nailed the mysterious hero portrayal as we are constantly trying to decipher him wondering why he is pushing Eve away, why is he so caring with Eve making sure she is safe when clearly he himself is a stranger?

" When I tell you to do something-" his voice is gruff as he moves even closer " you should listen to me, Eve".

Eve is your innocent Heroine who cherishes the simple things in life such as books, friendships and hot handsome men who she should be staying away from. Even though she hardly knows anything about Vincent, she still wants to get to know him better,she wants to be his center of attention. Jealousy is involved , secrets will be revealed and more mystery is created.

i love books where there are obstacles between the hero and heroine before they get together, I love the games, the jealousy , the resisting and battles they go through which makes the union all the more sweeter. Jessica Ruben definitely has nailed this and I do not doubt book two will be even more exciting.

I love exploring new books and discovering new authors and I am glad I gave this book a shot because I think Jessica Ruben has become another go to author on my list where I read the book no matter what it is about.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Synopsis...

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I didn’t know she was my student the first time I paid to watch her at Voyeur.

Once she walked into my classroom, another smiling college freshman, I knew I should stop going. Stop watching.

But I couldn’t do it. Everything about her makes me want more, and once I realize she wants me too, the temptation becomes irresistible.

The worst part is that she has no idea her professor is the one watching behind the glass.

I just have to hope that once she finds out the truth, she wants the same thing I do. Because now that I've seen all of her, I can't look away.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts.

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Anyone who likes a feisty heroine and not to mention a hot alpha professor, this is your book!
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Honestly when I first read the blurb of this upcoming book by Fiona Cole, I could not wait for release day so I had to get it as an ARC for review. Student - professor/teacher relationships and forbidden romances are my favourite type of concepts to read and this book certainly did not disappoint.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Voyeur is a dual perspective novel based on the characters Oaklyn Derringer and Callum Pierce. Oaklyn is in need of money and fast in order to support herself financially through college after her parents spent her tuition savings and student loans are out of the question. Olivia, Oaklyn's friend suggests working in a family owned 'sex club' where she can perform and earn a large amount of money fast.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Now not to be judgmental or anything...but Oaklyn wasn't as hesitant as you would expect when given the option to perform at a sex club, but hey! I'm not judging lol.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Enter Callum, a daytime professor and night time voyeur who meets his student at this very club and has no idea that the girl of his fantasies is in fact his student. That is until he sees her in his lecture hall where attraction is inevitable, his obsession is uncontrollable and his desire to make her his is definite. As Oaklyn and Dr Pierce explore their sensual desires, Callum's long kept secrets start to unravel.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">" i dove in and began devouring her lips, eating her promise straight from them. I wanted to take her everywhere with me."
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I would definitely recommend this book for those who love forbidden romances and would like to indulge in the taboo's in society. This book is full of painful pasts, sensual scenes and sizzling chemistry.
<span style="color: #181818; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

books where the hero and heroine have not met before so that we can see their

My thoughts

Scoring wilder is a standalone sports romance novel with a 19
year old female soccer player, Kinsley Bryant and her newly appointed coach 25
year old Liam wilder – an ex professional soccer player. No matter how much
they try to resist each other – and I must say Kinsley’s mental battle to
distance herself were HILARIOUS , the attraction is undeniable and unavoidable.

No.”

Liam takes
up this job in order to clean up his reputation and show that he is more
serious than being a womenizer and a player, however Kinsley certainly messes
up with those plans. They are constantly trying to hide their relationship
from the media , the stuck up senior team players and have to evaluate whether a relationship is worth risking their
careers. Reading this book it is obvious that they have amazing undeniable chemistry
and was a great read for those who want to read some quick forbidden romance.

R S grey is amazing at character development especially making the female lead seem dorky, funny and the hero forbidden, irresistible and insanely attractive. We are hooked from the beginning to the end and are
constantly rooting for Liam and Kinsley to get together. The additional characters
surrounding the leads such as the teammates and other coaches add to the
difficulties of their relationship and brings dimension to the story making it
imaginable for us as the reader we feel that we are present too in the
situation.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Summer games can is a Sports Romance novel that can be read
as a standalone. It is the second book to The Summer Games series.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I LOOOOVED THIS BOOK! I Don’t read many sports romance books
because I know nothing about football, hockey or soccer which tend to be the main
occupation of the female or male leads however – this one was gymnastics and as
a former gymnastic fanatic – I had to read. Also, it was set in the Olympics which is a DOUBLE BONUS in my books – its like my two favourite things, Romance books and Gymnastics got
together and had a baby...hehe.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">So yes, back to the book , it involves Brie Watson, a US gymnast
who is training to compete in the Olympics and 29 year old ex - gymnast Erik
winter, the newly appointed coach for the women’s gymnastics team after his
father was hospitalised. The story starts with her travelling to his house in
seattle where the rest of the female gymnasts will also be training however she
arrives earlier than required. And this is when his Erik’s first Arseholery behaviour
starts **roll eyes**. After first introduction and first impressions it is clear
that Eric is a manwhore and arrogant A
hole who treats Brie like a child which does in effect , irritate her and this
pleases him more. But in a weird way it
is kinda attractive lool. However we realise that this is just a cover for him in order to protect himself from liking Brie even more, even to the extent that they live in two seperate buildings far away from each other.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Brie is a struggling financially and is trying to help her
mom who has helped her succeed in her career in order to pay her back , so getting a medal in the Olympics
is more than just a prize but a necessity. Eric is constantly pushing Brie’s
buttons and they have an ongoing rivalry which gets noticed by the other
gymnasts. Erik sees Brie's desperate need to win the medals but what for he doesn't know neither does Brie reveal and so he distances
himself and resists his attraction towards her in order to allow her to do her best and not distract her to what is important. Fair play. -but this is still not enough as Brie tries to grow closer and make him crazy by playing games with him.

This book is quite different from the previous two books, 72
hours and The Watcher which had the same sort of concept. This book is more of
your quick romance type book and is not as action packed so if you are looking for something short and enjoyable definitely read this.

The female character Rachel rents a cabin in Colorado

a job that she always wanted. First
impressions and interactions with ‘single father’ Slade was difficult to say
the least and if anything frustrating – mainly because he is a bit of an A hole
and a manwhore. They don’t talk much at first but she becomes acquainted with
his child and then as their relationship grows they are forced to get along.

After getting to know Slade and his adorable child Ryder,
you realise the their relationship is not what one might assume; and this creates problems as
the story progresses in terms of Ryder’s safety and Slade’s ability to trust
women who come into his life. Rachel finds that Slade might be a lot more caring
and kind than he has let on and her attraction and feelings towards him
amplify.

Rachel is a quriky character, but also very innocent and timid but she doesn't let this affect her when she needs to give slade what he deserves. Slade is the definition of the difficult, extremely attractive neighbour and bleeds jealous alpha male personality. it is adorable that even though he tries to distance himself from Rachel he also finds excuses to be around her and comes running when she is upset. Definitely a Swoon worthy hero.

Overall I really enjoyed the book however if I had any
complaints it would be that it was too short and I would of like to see a bit
more action. In saying that character development was excellent, loved the
female and male leads , LOVED sweet Ryder – adorable! So for those who are
looking for a quick read to relax and tune into some romance , I this book is definitely
for you.

with since, even though they go to the same college. Diesel is has a girlfriend
who is possessive and threatened by Mercedes and takes various measures to keep
her away. Little does she know that her actions are only bringing them closer.

character reminded me of Jared). However, diesel continues to date the girlfriend
from hell because it is the easier option and this causes difficulties in the relationship,
one – because she is insanely jealous and two – because there is a growing
attraction between diesel and Mercedes. This is not the only problem. Dating from
other MC is strictly forbidden so this causes inevitable obstacles for the two.
Both the characters are similar in the sense as they yearn for freedom from <span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">responsibilities

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I remember being so excited when this book was announced
till the point I was mentally counting down the days to the release date. This book
is a standalone novel so the series can be read in any order much like most of
the books written by Bella Jewel. What you find however with her books, is that
the characters and settings interlink so in order to fully understand each
character it is best to read the books in order.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">So about the book – it is following the MC Sinner’s series
where the lead characters are the children of the MC Sinners’ now grown up. This
book Lead is Ava – Jackson’s and serenity’s daughter. Before I get into this
review I it will be impossible to show my enthusiasm for this book as part of
the reason why I was so excited was because Jackson’s and Serenity’s story was
by all-time favourite (I have read the book more times than I can count! ) so
do read this book before you read this as there story is a must read.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Ava, 23 is captured along with another girl who is the
daughter of another MC Leader in order to send a message to their fathers. However,
in the tension and terrifying circumstances the captor tells Ava to decide who
he shall kill - the girl or herself. In the heat and pressurising situation, words slip out of her mouth and the girl gets shot dead. This story is about Ava haunted with at experience and she is trying to deal with the guilt
of nightmares sometimes through alcoholism, drugs leaving her feeling terribly alone and not understood.

<span style="color: #e06666; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I drop to my knees on the floor and whimper helplessly. So alone.
So broken. I want to stop seeing her face. I want it to go the hell away.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Enter 30 year old , detective Lucas Black, who finds Ava fallen
down on the sidewalk one night. He becomes somewhat of her carer and protector
as he can sense she battling with demons and he tries to become her confider. . Lucas is no stranger to guilt and has his demons he has
been battling with. As Ava confides in Lucas she realises that the two of them are more alike than she thinks.As Ava tries to grow closer Lucas is resists his attraction.

has manged to make me feeling nothing but comfort in his presence. This the
kind of man my father and his club run from , the kind of man they despise, yet
he’s walked me through my darkest hour.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Ava is a strong, confident , but fragile heroine who is an expert in hiding her feeling and emotions to her own family and thinks about others first before herself. I loved her character because it shows the different dimensions of us as humans, how we are sensitive, selfish, and breakdown at times but as long as you have people who care about you , you can overcome struggles.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I LOVED this story , it was emotional, heartbreaking and
beautifully written. I find that the characters were developed exceptionally and
the involvement in other characters gave insight in who the next story will be
focused on making us being anticipating another book. And that is the
genius of Bella as she can get us readers look forward to the next book whilst
reading another.

Manacle is the highly anticipated third book of the MC Sinners
Next Generation and is a standalone romance novel. This book is…**drum roll**
Danny’s and Skye’s Book! I couldn’t wait to read this one after getting a

know that Ava, Jackson’s daughter was captured by a rival enemy and she had
gone through a traumatic, emotional experience – carrying the guilt of helplessly

say the least. Danny has given so many chances to Skye and constantly asking
her to be with him, and accept the life in the MC whilst Skye constantly
distance herself from him for in order to not get hurt and fall in love with him.
This makes him mean, an A hole at times and an angry broody character. Throughout
the book you see how they both struggle to move on because of the pull of their
attraction. It is evident no matter how much Danny may be in denial or tries to

tries to realise what is more important,
love or the MC? My heart goes out to Danny who truly tried hard to win Skye and
when he wasn’t successful – tried to move on, so I must say that I was a little
annoyed when Skye only realised her love was inevitable when he was starting to
recover from the heart break and had found someone else. However, ultimately
they belong to each other and the book was excellent in demonstrating the
characters emotions in each situation. A great quick read, loved the concept!

And I am glad I did! This short romantic suspense book had it all – romance,
action , drama and climax. It merged contemporary romance themes and put it in

shines and gets it's moment at the end of the book where she shows the greatest bravery of all. However - I cannot give a honest review without mentioning about the fact that even though they were fighting for they lives , on the edge of death , near to their ending, but they still had time to get it on in the woods?? - I found this quite hilarious let's be honest ;)

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Wow. That was one hell of an emotional roller-coaster! If you are looking for a sports romance book
with depth and emotion you have got to read Frosted by Taylor Rose. However there are scenes which can be
disturbing to some readers.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">This book is about two characters, NHL center Kieran
Kingston and Olympic Figure Skating gold medallist Figueroa Ryan who both have
broken souls but instantly connect on first sight. Aqua, Figgy’s sister who you
cannot help but adore is the force that brought the two leads together. The
strength of sisterhood between Figgy and aqua, the determination and effort to not let their past
dictate their present and there conviction to peace and happiness is so
admirable and heart-breaking that they had to face such difficulties in the
first place. Kieran is no stranger in
difficulty, where Aqua and Figgy had each other, Kieran has found himself always
looking for belonging and being loved or cared for but was given the worst of
life as he finds himself constantly by his past that it led to his efforts of
resisting the pull towards Figgy and Aqua in fear of hurting them however their
destiny is inevitable and soon they became his life and duty to protect.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">It’s been ages since I read a book that has kept me hooked
throughout the journey escalating emotions, suspense and drama. I will be honest I am not a big fan of sports
romance novel as I have noticed a lot of the time that the sport is often only
seen as the occupation of the lead and is not explored very well in depth however
Taylor Rose has definitely helped us as a reader to understand the sport and
its terminology as it opens with key terms of both sports. In Frosted, this theme is not only the center of the story line but is center and passion of both the male and female lead
and it shines through. This book has possibly opened up a whole new world of
books that I am so excited to read! So fans of one of the few sports romances I
have read and one of my favourite series, The Summer games by R.S grey I DEFINITELY
RECOMMEND THIS!

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Want a book with forbidden student – teacher romance, a tattooed hero with a motorcycle, and a kick-ass
single mother? Then, I would 100% recommend
Fear the beard, the second book in the Dixy Warden Rejects series! I was hooked from start to finish and had read
it entirely in one sitting. This is the first book written by author Lani Lynn
Vale that I have read and I cant believe that I haven’t read more of her books - one thing I can say for
a fact is that this will not be the last.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">From the beginning of the book we are introduced to the
hero, a 33 year old ER doctor called Tommy who is a teacher at Tally’s school.
Tally is a nursing student in her early twenties who also happens to be a
single mother of an 8 month adorable baby girl called Tallulah. Despite being
so young she has matured way beyond her years and is not like any other student
her age as her efforts are solely for her daughter and like any normal person she is battling with the diffulties of being a mother whilst studying at the same time. The attraction between Tommy and Tally is undeniable and extremely frustrating for Tommy as he battles with his
inner need to have Tally but his duty to respect her wish of not being in a public relationship until
she graduates .

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Tommy has to be another hero added to my top favorites
list. The bond he had created between
himself and Tallulah, and how he is in constant awe when watching tally interact
with her daughter shows us a side of him that we don’t get to see in many books
in situations where the the child is not the heroes own. His instinct to be protective,
supportive and a desire to make them his before anyone else could get the
chance shows that he he was totally head over heels first for
Tally.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; text-indent: 4em;">It was an amazing book to read, I loved every word of it , I
loved the realism in the book in regards to women ‘issues or taboos’ that Tally
hilariously seemed to experience …( I know I’m being vague and I’m not sure that I'm making sense but you will know what I'm referring
to when you read the book ;) I found myself upset that it finished so soon so I
read it multiple times just to swoon,tear up and laugh all over again.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; text-indent: 4em;">OMG haha I just cant get over that scene. ( or maybe It's just me...) Lani Lynn Vale had done an amazing job in creating real authentic romances, with lifestyles we can relate to and if I had any criticisms it would only be that it ended too soon and I hope we do see more of this couple later in series!

<quote><span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Synopsis...
If you're Kate Evans, you keep your friend Rachel, bond with her kids, and bury your feelings for her husband. The fact that Shane's in the military and away for long periods helps—but when tragedy strikes, everything changes.

After Rachel, pregnant with her fourth child, dies in a car accident and the baby miraculously survives, Kate upends her entire life to share parenting duties. Then on the first anniversary of Rachel's death, Kate and Shane take comfort in each other in a night that they both soon regret.

Shane's been angry for a year, and now he feels guilty too—for sleeping with his wife's best friend and liking it... liking her. Kate's ability to read him like a book may have once sent Shane running, but their lives are forever entwined and they are growing closer.

Now with Shane deployed for seven months, Kate is on her own and struggling with being a single parent. Shane is loving and supportive from thousands of miles away, but his homecoming brings a betrayal Kate never saw coming. So Kate's only choice is to fight for the future she deserves—with or without Shane...</quote>
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">My Thoughts
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">Where do I start? Nicole Jacquelyn really knows how to tug on your heart strings! So we start with the Kate, a singer and the heroine in the book who is best friends with Rachel, Shane's wife. We get a little flashback at the beginning of the book of the dynamic between Shane and his wife Rachel, and and it is then you can sense the disdain Shane has towards Kate. This leads to a love-hate relationship which we later find out is a result of the frustration of having a forbidden attraction towards her . Nevertheless, this does not affect Rachel and Kate's friendship.You sense Rachel feels in debt and a whole lot of gratitude towards Kate and her secret that she is keeping from Shane which is revealed later in the story leads you to understand why.

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">When Rachel passes away Kate decides to take up full responsibility of Shane's four kids especially with Shane going on deployment. I absolutely loved Kate's character who took big sacrifices in order to look after children who are not her own, who is also kind, forgiving, and nurturing. Personally I felt she was almost too forgiving and felt that she should of let Shane suffer longer for how he mistreated her and who questioned her good intentions.

"Where are my children?" she asked, her eyes foggy
from medication.

I stumbled away from the bed horrified, and watched as she

<i style="color: #e06666; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Jesus Christ, what have I done?

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">
.*SNIFF SNIFF* . This hospital scene really got to me and was literally the release of emotions from previous events as it is the first time Shane really understands the damage he has done on his relationship with Kate and her trust.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif;">I know I am really making Shane sound like a A hole but honestly that was how I felt for some parts of the book, but then he goes on a path of redemption and you can't help but think that Shane and Kate are meant for each other.
<span style="color: magenta; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

'I'd pushed her aside for so long that there was no foundation to build on. Just a mess of shattered pieces that <i style="color: #e06666; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">I'd crushed with a sledgehammer every time she'd grown closer than I was comfortable with.'
<span style="color: #45818e; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

You cannot help but love Shane's character as you see the changes he makes even though it was difficult for him at the start. Despite his bad choices and actions you can't help but empathise with him as he is a father unable to spend much time with his children because of his military duties, ultimately leading him feeling jealous of Kaye's relationship with his kids which he seems to have lost after Rachel had died.

'I wanted to be nothing. I wanted to find my blank spot and stay there so my chest didn't feel like it was breaking open each time I inhaled.'
<span style="color: #45818e; font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

GOD.. this book was an emotional , gut wrenching roller coaster, and I often found myself wanting to cry, swoon , and shout in frustration all at the same time. The strong emotional connection which both the heroine and hero have leads you to forget the negatives and the past struggles their relationship has had and you end up hoping that there relationship survives through the hurdles.

I have been looking for ages for books that would move me, make me feel what the character is feeling as I read every word and this book did definitely not disappoint. Jacquelyn's writing is just so beautiful and well crafted, She knows just the write words to use to make you feel like you are constantly at your edge of your seat, anticipating what will happen next - I read this book in one sitting and I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU READ THIS if you like books with slow burn, second chance romance and a happily ever after.

The first Book that I read was Losing it by Cora Carmack. Teacher - Student romances were very popular at this time and I remember reading this in 2014 and loving it because of the humor and awkwardness, that I guess all girls face when they have a crush LOL. ( Or not if your the confident type ;) I guess this was around the time when new adults books were emerging and shifting from the young adult genre.

And then I started reading the Rosemary Beach series by Abbi Glines, one of my all time favorite book series! I mean who doesn't love an Abbi Glines book! Rush and Blaire are definitely my favorite couple amongst all her books. If you haven't read them yet go check them out!
