Synopsis...
They say one action doesn’t define you.
I killed a man. Stabbed him in the neck and licked the blood off my lips after I did it.
Still, one action doesn’t define you.
I could have called anyone. My father, the Prez of The Fallen MC, our family lawyer, my best friend, Lila, or my brother, King.
I didn’t.
Instead, I called Lionel Danner, the police officer renowned for taking down the Nightstalkers MC. The man who had been my father’s arch nemesis for decades. The man who hated everything I stood for. A man who had disappeared from my life without explanation three years ago.
I called him.
And maybe one action doesn’t define you, but killing a bad man and calling in the good changed my life and it sure as hell changed his.

The third book in the Fallen Men series. A standalone featuring Harleigh Rose and Officer Lionel Danner

My Thoughts...
I have a confession... I am a sucker for MC, age gap and forbidden romances so I am already biased in this review but don't let that stop you from reading this book because every praise is well deserved - one thousand percent! After reading Welcome to the Dark side, I knew I had to get my hands on the next in the series!

Harleigh Rose is a nearly qualified nurse who gets herself into a hot but serious mess after killing her boyfriend, Cricket under self defense. Instead of calling her father, the president of the Fallen MC , Zeus Garro, or any other members or family she calls Lionel Danner, a police officer who she had not spoken to in three years - and has always had a crush on. Although they both coexist,  they live in completely different worlds but like fuel and fire they burn brighter when they are together.

' He was an old growth oak with roots sunk deep into rich earth, limbs stretching wide across the sky, standing sentry across centuries as the world toiled away beneath its leaves... He was simply and profoundly good.'

' i could whip around that kind of man, cause hurricanes with my spirit, quake the earth with my tempers'

Good Gone Bad is different to many books I have read where the hero usually is the damaged, jaded and sinful character and the heroine is the one to heal him; however Giana flips that idea on its head and where Danner is a mixture of good and bad and has laws and morals ingrained within him. However although he works for the law, he does not hesitate to cross to the darker side in order to protect who he loves. He understands Rosie, puts her safety first, but not without feeling the alpha protectiveness that we readers all crave.

'cause you don't distract me with those pretty blues, I'm going to murder that piece of shit all over again for whatever he did...'

' You think I don't know that under all that thorny sass, you got a heart as tender as a budded rose, you can think again'

Rosie's character is contradictory to her name. she is anything but delicate and breakable. she is a spitfire, a rebel, a daddy's girl but vulnerable emotionally no matter how well she hides it. She embraces her family, is fearless, and feisty which is so refreshing from an avid reader's point of view where heroines may sometimes come across like a doormat - she is anything but passive but strong headed and knows what she wants.

Rosie and Danner together create insanely hot chemistry - Giana, I have come to learn is a master at balancing dirty and sweet, leaving us swooning in some parts and screaming in frustration in others. What I have come to realise is that a good romance author can flawlessly create the right amount of love, hate , attraction , jealousy , protectiveness and angst between the hero and the heroine. But a truly experienced expert romance author can evoke the reader to yearn for those qualities in a man in reality - Giana in her books expertly brings her characters to life - creating dimension, humanistic features that we recognise such as the ability to own mistakes, forgiveness, jealousy, hardship  which is why we as readers relate to them the most.

This book for me gave me vibes of books written by amazing MC Romance authors such as Madeline Sheehan, Bella Jewel, and Nichole Jacquelyn. So any fans of these authors, I DEFINITELY recommend this book, and if you have not read MC books or are looking for a new romance flavour, THIS IS YOUR BOOK!
My Rating: 5 Stars!!
